OpenRouter Launches "Jev Router" for Automatic Model Selection Using Jev

Developed by TypeSafe AI, Jev is an AI model capable of performing "judgment" on questions and multiple-choice options with confidence scores. While traditional routers were limited to analyzing the "type of task," Jev Router assesses the difficulty and required precision of a task by processing the input prompt. This enables high-precision routing, such as assigning inexpensive small-scale models to simple tasks and high-performance state-of-the-art models to complex ones.

According to reports from GIGAZINE, comparisons of four different AI agent benchmarks between Jev Router and OpenRouter's existing "Auto Router" showed that Jev Router successfully completed 82% more tasks. It was also demonstrated to be faster in terms of time to first token output.
