Yaskawa and FANUC demonstrate AI-powered welding solutions

At an industry event in September 2026, Yaskawa Electric introduced an AI-powered welding robot. The system uses a camera to observe the welding process, enabling it to replicate the "sensory skills" of experienced workers to perform arc welding.

In a separate demonstration, FANUC presented an AI welding agent. This implementation integrates the AI agent directly with the robot controller and a safety PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).
