While much of the workflow from the traditional Audacity 3 is maintained, some controls have been changed or moved.
As specific changes, individual tool modes such as Select, Envelope, Draw, and Multi-tool have been deprecated. These functions have been integrated into a context-sensitive approach that operates according to the context.
Additionally, Sync-Lock and legacy tool modes have been replaced by the aforementioned new workflow.
Please note that in Audacity 4.0, some export/render functions, analysis functions, and effects are not yet available. These are scheduled to be added in future releases.
Due to source code updates, the third-party libraries SoundTouch and sbsms have been added.
