Simultaneously, President Trump signed an executive order "Inaugurating The Era Of Super Intelligence," which mandates that the executive branch use the terms "Super Intelligence" or "SI" instead of "Artificial Intelligence" or "AI" in official correspondence, websites, reports, and other non-statutory documents. The order states that the new terminology more accurately reflects the transformative capabilities and potential of these technologies. The policy does not require the alteration of previously issued regulations, contracts, or historical documents.
To support the transition to this new terminology, the administration held a "Super Intelligence Luncheon" at the White House with various tech CEOs. Attendees included leaders from Nvidia, Google, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, and OpenAI, among others. During the event, participants signed the "White House Accord on Super Intelligence," a document regarding frontier model responsibilities, which includes commitments to implement four-layer management and audit systems to ensure safe development and deployment.
