When AI agents frequently access databases to obtain accurate information, it can negatively impact the performance of production databases. This new service dynamically provisions—sets up the environment—isolated database instances dedicated to AI agents within AlloyDB in just seconds.
Because these sandboxed instances are completely isolated from the database cluster, including primary and standby instances, high-frequency access by AI agents will not degrade the performance of the production environment. The instances scale automatically according to the workload and automatically scale down to zero once the tasks are completed.
In addition to full SQL functionality, this service provides features such as vector search, full-text search, and spatial search. It is currently available in preview, and registration for use is now being accepted.
