Traditionally, Google Earth has been an extremely useful tool for open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysts to digitally verify changes in monitored areas during conflicts or disasters. However, it has been pointed out that with this new functionality, Google Earth can now be easily utilized as a tool for disinformation.
