Along with this, the web app URL will gradually change from the conventional m365.cloud.microsoft to copilot.cloud.microsoft starting August 18, 2026.
Users utilizing work or school accounts will also see changes to app names, icons, and user interfaces. However, data and permissions will not be integrated between personal accounts and work/school accounts. Available features and access rights to data will continue to be distinguished based on the licenses contracted.
Corporate IT administrators should be mindful of the impact on network environments. For companies that restrict connections via proxies, firewalls, or web filtering, it is necessary to confirm whether connections to the new URL are permitted.
