While the developer used LLMs (primarily Claude Code), they established a rule prohibiting "AI code" within the kernel body. According to the developer, LLM usage was limited to creating documentation and tests.
They stated that this restriction deepened their understanding of page table management and VMM interfaces. Legacy features have been eliminated, utilizing only memory-mapped I/O and MSI/MSI-X interrupts.
Development of a USB stack is currently underway, with the goal of achieving basic HID support. Regarding the significance of hand-written kernels in the era of AI coding, the developer expressed their intention to continue the project as a learning experience.
