CLAUDE_CODE_USE_GATEWAYenvironment variable forced sign-in to the Cloud gateway; this has been resolved in v2.1.266. In previous versions, this variable was ignored unless bothANTHROPIC_BASE_URLandANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKENwere also set. In v2.1.265, when used alongside API keys,apiKeyHelper, or custom authentication headers, all requests would fail with a "Not signed in to Cloud gateway" error. With this fix, the environment variable is once again ignored, resolving the issue without requiring configuration changes.
