New Features and Improvements
- Experimental Voice Conversations: Added experimental
/voiceconversations with live transcripts and microphone controls on supported builds, enabled through/experimental. - TUI Enhancements: The TUI now shows live reasoning summaries in the status row and completion timestamps after successful turns.
- Agent and Task Management: Added capabilities to hide, archive, and delete tasks in the agents overview, alongside worktree ownership details.
- Security and Verification: Added macOS user verification with Secure Enclave signing and enabled MCP user verification in the TUI on supported Macs.
- Daemon and Service Management: Introduced configurable daemon update schedules and a dedicated
codex app-server daemon updatecommand; saved threads and active goals now recover after daemon restarts. - Cloud Integration: Amazon Bedrock support now allows obtaining AWS credentials through configured commands, with caching, expiration-based refresh, and authentication recovery.
Bug Fixes
- Data Integrity: Resolved issues where accepted prompts were not saved if compaction failed before a turn, and improved the preservation of complete actions during Guardian approval reviews.
- TUI Stability: Fixed tmux resizing issues, transcript viewport restoration, and the appearance of stale history when switching threads.
- MCP and Authentication: MCP servers now accurately report expired OAuth credentials and provide reconnection guidance; account switching now correctly invalidates remote-control sessions and cached states.
- Security Hardening: Blocked Windows-process escapes from restricted WSL sandboxes and improved the security of brokered shell snapshots against credential exposure.
