NVIDIA and its partners showcased various AI advancements across Southeast Asia at AI Day Singapore, held from September 22 to 23 at the Raffles City Convention Centre. The event highlighted how the region is transitioning from AI experimentation to production-scale deployment through various tools, models, and ecosystems.
NVIDIA Showcases AI Advancements and Partner Ecosystem at AI Day Singapore
In Singapore, several organizations are implementing NVIDIA technologies for specialized tasks. The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is researching the NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super and Nemotron 3 Nano Omni models to enhance public safety through complex reasoning and multimodal applications. NCS is advancing agentic AI adoption in both the public and enterprise sectors using Nemotron models and NVIDIA Blueprint for video search and summarization (VSS). Additionally, ST Engineering is utilizing NVIDIA NeMo tools and NVIDIA cuOpt software to develop its AI Studio platform.
The deployment of regional-specialized AI extends across Southeast Asia. In Vietnam, Viettel AI has been fine-tuning the NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super for Vietnamese-language applications, achieving high rankings on the VMLU benchmark. FPT Smart Cloud co-developed the Nemotron-Personas-Vietnam dataset to support localized model evaluation. Thailand's iApp Technology is adapting the Nemotron 3 Nano model for legal-assistant chatbot services, such as Thanoy, which currently serves approximately 43,000 users.
NVIDIA's ecosystem also includes infrastructure and smart city solutions. SEA Limited, the parent company of Shopee and Garena, has become the first enterprise in the ASEAN region to adopt the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform to scale its AI capabilities across its digital platforms. For smart city development, companies like Malaysia's ITMAX and Thailand's AS-TECH are utilizing NVIDIA Cosmos open world models and the NVIDIA VSS Blueprint to improve traffic operations and passenger flow management.
