OpenRouter has announced that it has started offering OpenAI's latest flagship model, GPT-6 Astra, on its service.
GPT-6 Astra is suitable for demanding end-to-end tasks such as advanced analysis, software engineering, deep research, scientific work, and document creation.
In particular, it is said to have strengths in long-term agentic tasks that involve using computers and browsers.
The context window is 1,050,000 tokens, supporting up to 128,000 tokens of completion. It also accepts file inputs such as PDF, images, and text, and returns text.
On OpenRouter, it will be delivered by two providers: OpenAI and Azure (US). Requests are routed to the best available provider, and in the event of an error, they are automatically switched to another provider.
