Invideo has announced that it is integrating GPT-6 Astra into its agentic video editor to improve the precision of complex edits and the efficiency of color grading.

According to OpenAI, the integration allows the invideo agent to plan and execute complex editing tasks with fewer reasoning steps compared to previous models. This capability enables the agent to translate editor directions into precise sequences of actions, including tool selection and result verification, while maintaining the original creative objective even during long and complex tasks.
The integration has specifically improved color work. Sanket, an invideo representative, stated that the success rate for color-grading and color-correction tasks has improved approximately three times with Astra. This is particularly effective for complex operations, such as isolating and tracking a subject to change a background while preserving skin tones.
Furthermore, the model assists in transforming descriptions and visual references into custom effects. Invideo reported that editors were able to create approximately 50 custom effects in a single day using the model, which can code effects tailored to specific footage and place them directly on the timeline for manual refinement.
