At its Connect event, Meta announced an expansion of its AI eyewear collection through its partnership with EssilorLuxottica, introducing Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses and the third generation of Ray-Ban Meta glasses.
Meta Unveils Ray-Ban Meta Audio and Third-Generation Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses
The new Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses are designed as the company's lightest and slimmest AI glasses to date, weighing 43 grams. They provide high-quality audio for music, podcasts, and calls, and allow hands-free interaction with AI assistants for up to 12 hours on a single charge. The glasses will be available in two new styles, Clubmaster and Burbank, with pre-orders starting at $349 USD and shipping on October 13.
The third generation of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, known as Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3), features a slimmer design and improved battery life of up to nine hours. This generation includes a new 6-mic array designed to reduce background noise by more than 90% to ensure clear voice commands and calls. It also features a 12 MP camera capable of 3K Ultra HD video recording and enhanced "dynamic photos." Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) is available starting at $449 USD in styles including Aviator, Zena, and Wayfarer.
Additionally, Meta expanded its Meta Glasses collection with new styles, including a signature collection designed with international icon LISA. The company also announced that Ray-Ban and Oakley Meta glasses will be available in new international markets, including Singapore, South Korea, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, and Brazil, starting today or later this year.
