NVIDIA Announces RTX PRO 5500 Blackwell Workstation GPU Equipped with 84GB GDDR7 Memory

While equipped with the same 20,000 1760 CUDA cores as the GeForce RTX 5090, this product significantly expands its memory capacity with 84GB GDDR7. This provides approximately 2.6 times the capacity compared to the 32GB of the RTX 5090. NVIDIA states that this large memory capacity allows for handling larger AI models and longer contexts, as well as holding multiple models in memory simultaneously.

Additionally, it features "Multi-Instance GPU (MIG)" functionality, which allows a single 1 GPU to be partitioned into independent execution environments. This enables not only utilizing the 84GB memory across 1 environments but also partitioning and sharing it into 42GB environments of 2 each. Each instance is assigned its own dedicated memory, cache, and compute cores.
