Microsoft 365 Copilot has been integrated into Microsoft Excel. By setting the "Allow Editing" mode, it becomes possible to edit Excel data and documents using instructions in natural language.
As a specific use case, one example is highlighting rows that match certain conditions. For instance, by giving an instruction to fill cells based on the number of days a delivery is delayed, users can identify specific data without using traditional conditional formatting or filter operations.
Data matching tasks can also be performed with Copilot. It is possible to give instructions such as updating sales unit prices by using product names as keys to reference separate master data. Since users can also instruct the system to display an error for data that cannot be referenced, accurate data updates can be attempted even if the user is unfamiliar with specifying parameters for functions such as VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP.
