OpenAI Reports $4.3 Billion Revenue and $13.5 Billion Net Loss for First Half of 2025

OpenAI has disclosed its financial status for the first half of 2025 to its shareholders.

Revenue amounted to $4.3 billion. Meanwhile, net loss reached $13.5 billion, more than half of which was attributed to the remeasurement of convertible bond rights.

Regarding the breakdown of expenses, research and development was the largest item at $6.7 billion. Sales and advertising expenses were $2 billion, an increase of approximately double the total for the full year of 2024.
