With this feature, users can simply instruct Slackbot in natural language to generate visual interfaces. The AI collects information from relevant conversations and connected apps—such as Google Drive and Salesforce—to build the surface. These created "Surfaces" can be shared and pinned within a team, allowing other members to interact with them or leave comments.
According to Slack, the generated content is linked to the source data in real-time; when data in Salesforce or other sources is updated, the content of the Surface is automatically updated as well. Slack stated that this eliminates the need to export data to external BI tools and enables decision-making based on the latest information without interrupting the flow of conversation.
Slackforce Surfaces will be available to all customers with Slackbot enabled (including Free, Pro, Business+, and Enterprise+). The rollout of the feature using live data is scheduled to begin in October.
