OpenAI announced on September 10, 2026 (US Time), that it has launched "ChatGPT for Financial Services" for financial institutions. This service aims to provide an experience specifically tailored to financial operations.

The service leverages premium data provided by providers such as Daloopa, PitchBook, LSEG News, and Crunchbase. This data is indexed and hosted on OpenAI's infrastructure, allowing users to trace the basis of numbers and claims through detailed citations, which improves analysis accuracy and facilitates verification.

The inference engine employs the latest "GPT-6 Astra" model. This model is capable of understanding charts and footnotes within financial documents, performing tasks ranging from executing financial analysis to generating summaries of documents. Additionally, development was carried out based on practical needs such as investment banking and equity research through design partnerships with Morgan Stanley and Evercore.

Regarding security, centralized management of access permissions and data connections is possible based on the governance control features of ChatGPT Enterprise. By default, corporate data is not used for model training and is protected by encryption. This service is available to eligible financial institutions.
