Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture, is advancing operational efficiency through the use of AI. It has been reported that the city has introduced Anthropic's AI, "Claude," to in-house its website construction and operation.
"Claude Code" is also being utilized for development. Through this, the city aims to build a development structure that does not depend on external vendors.
The city has been working on DX (Digital Transformation) since 2023. While it has previously focused on implementing tools such as RPA, it now intends to achieve further efficiency through the use of AI.
Currently, the project is in the PoC (Proof of Concept) stage. The city plans to conduct verification regarding AI-driven website construction from December 2025 to February 2026. This verification includes considering the construction of chatbots using Claude Sonnet.
