Ollama v0.34.3 Released — Model thinking controls and Nemotron H vision support

Ollama has released version 0.34.3, introducing new controls for model thinking processes and expanding hardware support for specific vision models.

New Features and Improvements

  • Thinking Controls: The GET /api/show endpoint now includes thinking controls. Users can view and manage thinking levels via the CLI with ollama show or via the API. Available values include low, high, and max.
  • Vision Model Support: Nemotron H vision models are now supported on Apple Silicon through MLX.
  • macOS App Improvement: The macOS application no longer reopens previously closed windows when activated.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue related to pulling models from Hugging Face.
