Ollama v0.35.0 introduces support for decision models through a new /v1/systemone endpoint, based on TypeSafe’s Jev API. Unlike standard text generation, decision models return structured data including choices, probabilities, and scores, making them suitable for tasks such as ticket triage, model routing, and content classification.

Currently, available models for this feature include Nimble from Bespoke Labs and Tev1 from Together AI. The API supports three specific question types:
choice: Selects an option from a set and returns probabilities for each.noul: Returns the probability that a specific condition is true.score: Provides a score across an ordered set of criteria.
In addition to the new decision model support, this release includes several bug fixes and improvements:
- Settings now opens immediately without waiting for model discovery.
- Fixed an issue on macOS where the update menu and icon failed to reflect available updates at startup.
- Resolved a bug where MLX model downloads would hang indefinitely.
- Requests containing the deprecated
typical_pparameter now log a warning instead of failing.
