Cerebras CEO Andrew Feldman to Discuss AI Scaling and Infrastructure Limits at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026
Feldman will discuss how Cerebras is approaching these physical and technical constraints differently through its wafer-scale computing architecture. Unlike conventional chip architectures that cut silicon wafers into individual chips, Cerebras develops processors built on the wafer itself, a design intended to meet demanding AI workloads.
As demand for AI compute grows, Cerebras is actively expanding its capacity. Following a $5.5 billion IPO in May, the company signed a multiyear agreement with OpenAI to deploy 750 megawatts of Cerebras systems from 2026 through 2028. The company reported that more than 600 megawatts of data center capacity is currently live or under contract for delivery by the end of 2027. Additionally, Cerebras is increasing its manufacturing capacity more than tenfold during 2026 and plans to launch its first European data center capacity this year, with a target to expand to 200 megawatts there by the end of 2027.
The session will examine what lies ahead if current hardware reaches its physical limits and how infrastructure must evolve to support continued AI scaling.
