According to a survey released by Sojitz Tech-Innovation on September 15, 2026, in companies with more than 1,000 employees that have implemented Microsoft 365 Copilot (Copilot), 78% of representatives responded that they are able to cover the search and utilization of internal information to some extent through Copilot and Microsoft 365 (M365).

The survey revealed that 87.5% of respondents feel that the distribution of information required for work across multiple systems, both inside and outside of M365, is a challenge.

Additionally, 96.2% of companies responded that if an AI environment existed that could perform cross-platform searching and utilization of internal information stored in systems outside of M365, in addition to Copilot, it would expand their company's utilization of AI.

Sojitz Tech-Innovation analyzes that while the implementation of Copilot and M365 improves efficiency in tasks such as document creation, the search burden caused by information fragmentation remains a challenge, noting that the demand for environments capable of cross-platform searching and utilization of internal information is increasing.
