Amazon has announced that it has introduced "lip-sync" technology to Prime Video, which uses AI and VFX technology to synchronize the mouth movements of actors in dubbed versions of videos with the dialogue.

This technology aims to eliminate the unnatural feeling where an actor's mouth continues to move after the dubbed dialogue has ended, providing a more immersive experience for viewers. Amazon stated that this feature will make content more accessible to a wider range of audiences.

The rollout began with the original series "Maxton Hall" streaming on the service. Currently, only English dubbing is supported, but the technology is also planned for implementation in Season 3, scheduled for release in December 2026. Amazon intends to expand the number of eligible titles in the future, although specific titles have not been disclosed.
