NEC has established the "Corporate AI Workforce Division" as of August 1, a new organization where AI takes on the roles of all employees. In this division, autonomous AI agents are divided into four tiers—"AI Division Head," "AI Board (CxO function)," "AI Manager," and "AI Employee"—and collaborate to execute tasks.

According to ITmedia AI+, internal proof-of-concept experiments showed that work hours for tasks such as management analysis, simulation, and risk precursor detection were reduced to approximately one-seventh of previous levels. The activities of the AI are visualized in real-time through an "AI Integrated Management Cockpit," with humans remaining responsible for final evaluation, decision-making, and governance.

The company explained that to improve AI performance, they have implemented a system where AIs conduct "1on1s" with each other and perform periodic "stress checks" on the AI. These are applications of human-centric systems, such as "onboarding" that incorporates internal regulations, adapted for AI.

NEC aims to transition into an "AI-Native Company" by 2030 and plans to deploy the expertise cultivated in this division as part of the menu for its customer-facing solution, "BluStellar."
