Meta has released "Muse," a new AI assistant designed to support users with tasks such as online shopping, sending emails, and planning trips. According to the company, Muse functions as an "agentic AI" that determines the necessary skills based on user instructions and autonomously executes tasks involving web browsing, app integration, and multi-step processes.
Muse can integrate with existing apps like email, calendars, and Instagram, and can also build its own tools to perform tasks as needed. Additionally, because it is capable of running continuously in the background, it can handle ongoing tasks, such as monitoring and notifying users about weather changes. Regarding security, the system includes mechanisms to prevent sharing information without user permission and protection features for payments.
Muse is available for free, but there are limits on the number of uses; once these limits are exceeded, an upgrade to a paid subscription is required.
