Universal Music Group (UMG) and ElevenLabs have announced a strategic partnership and a multi-year licensing agreement to launch a new AI-driven music platform.

The new platform is expected to be powered by ElevenLabs. By utilizing licensed music, users will be able to create remixes, mashups, and new interpretations of works by participating artists and songwriters. The partnership also includes the future co-development of additional products and fan experiences.

Mati Staniszewski, CEO of ElevenLabs, said that by combining UMG's expertise in rights management with their own AI models, they aim to enable artists and songwriters to provide new experiences for fans while ensuring appropriate compensation.

This new platform is planned to be offered separately from ElevenLabs' existing Music API and ElevenMusic generator.
