Flux, a hardware design platform, has raised $37M in new funding to accelerate its mission of making hardware design as iterative as software development. The funding round was led by 8VC, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, and Outsiders Fund, as well as several individual investors.
The company plans to invest the capital into three primary areas. First, Flux aims to make its AI agent more predictable, reliable, and capable of executing complex, multi-step workflows. Second, the company is focusing on its core platform to enable more confident designs of complex circuit boards. Finally, Flux will expand its ecosystem by strengthening its parts library and increasing integrations with distributors, manufacturers, and simulators.
Flux's platform focuses on integrating AI into the electronic computer-aided design (ECAD) workflow, providing real-time assistance for schematics, PCB routing, and component sourcing based on real-world availability and pricing.
