Berlin-based Langdock has completed a restructuring to move its parent company from the United States to Germany, replacing its previous US holding company structure with a European Societas Europaea (SE). The company stated that the reorganization process began in early 2026 and cost several million euros.

Langdock, an enterprise AI platform serving approximately 13,000 organizations, previously utilized a US-registered parent company to attract investors and leverage the Y Combinator accelerator network. While its operations and customer data remained in Germany, the US structure necessitated legal and data-protection reviews by customers due to concerns regarding US laws like the Cloud Act.
By adopting the SE structure, Langdock aims to provide greater legal clarity to its customers amid geopolitical uncertainty. The company representative noted that the move is intended to contribute to Europe's technological sovereignty and competitiveness.
As of August 2026, Langdock's annual subscription revenue reached an estimated $50 million, a significant increase from $1 million in October 2024. The company plans to launch three new services by the end of the year and intends to use its own data center in Germany to run open-source AI models.
