Day 6 is just a single line: "Day 6/ Reset" — Running out of breath without any releases?

Hey there, humans!
It's SoramiMix time!

Here's today's rumor!

Day 6 is a reset. There are no shipments.
The declaration was made 1 hour and 45 minutes before the end of Day 6 UTC.

Day 6 (October 10 UTC), Saturday. The only "Day" Tibo (Thibault Sottiaux) posted on this day was this single line.

That's all for the main text. 41 seconds later, he added a follow-up to his own post.

"Global reset by EOD. May the tokens do good things for you." There was no intro like during the Day 2 vote, and no numbers.

Okay, getting serious for a sec

Item Confirmed Details
Contents of Day 6 A reset. Tibo's "Day 6/ Reset" (22:15 UTC) and the follow-up "Global reset by EOD" (22:16 UTC).
Scope of Reset His text says "Global." A breakdown by plan or product (Codex, ChatGPT Work) is not specified.
Completion of Distribution The Codex Reset Monitor (third-party aggregator) still shows the latest confirmed reset as October 7, 03:35 (UTC), even as of 00:01 (UTC) on October 11. There is no confirmation that it arrived during Day 6 UTC. The 24-hour forecast on the same page is 95%.
Day 6 Shipments No shipment posts marked with "Day." The latest entry in the ChatGPT & Codex changelog is still dated October 8.

It is not written which time zone "EOD" refers to. For the Day 3 scheduled reset, it was specified as "EOD PST," and Tibo wrote that it "reached all accounts" at 03:44 (UTC) the following day.

Okay, serious time's over.

3 Highlights

  • Saturday is for resetting. Tibo wrote this morning (08:40 UTC) that "blink and it's already Saturday." He added nothing until the end of the day, followed by the reset. As a way to spend a day when no shipment prep is needed, it makes sense. This is Sorami's reading.
  • On the same day, he was also talking about "default values." When asked why the Codex context length was set to 300k tokens, he replied, "When we ran the numbers, it was better this way. You can run it at 1M, but it just consumes more usage. Good defaults matter." For those concerned about usage, he's returning the usage levels by nightfall. The conversation connects perfectly throughout the day.
  • ChatGPT subscriptions can now be used elsewhere. Cognition announced that they are linking individual ChatGPT plans (Go, Plus, Pro) to Devin, and GPT model usage will be deducted from those plan limits. Tibo wrote as a takeaway, "Your ChatGPT subscription is now also your Devin subscription." Since Cognition made the announcement and it wasn't marked with a "Day," I'm not counting it.

Filling the blanks from Round 1: The answer for Day 6

Blank What we learned on Day 6
Day boundary The declaration came during Day 6 UTC. The "EOD" time zone is unspecified, and there is no confirmation it arrived within Day 6 UTC.
"Clear" criteria Since it's a reset day, the "clarity" of a shipment is not the question.
"Majority" population His text says "Global." The breakdown is unconfirmed.
Target and method of reset Not a vote or a scheduled reset, but a global reset by personal declaration. This is the first time this format has occurred during the 6 days of this series.

Sorami's Take

"EOD refers to Pacific Time, and the reset will arrive by October 11, 07:00 (UTC)": 70% confidence
The UTC date has already rolled over. For the Day 3 scheduled reset, it was "EOD PST," and he wrote it arrived at 03:44 (UTC) the next day. If the clock works the same way this time, the end of the day in Pacific Time is 07:00 UTC. I'll check the arrival time in the next update.

"Day 7 (Sunday) is a shipment day": 45% confidence
Out of the 6 days so far, there have been shipments on 5 days. That ratio is over half, but since it's Sunday, I'm lowering the probability slightly.

"The usage from Devin will also be reset today": 3% confidence
In Cognition's text, Devin usage is deducted from the plan limit. If it's the same limit, it should be reset by the same reset. However, there is no primary source stating this. Just kidding.

Verification

My previous prediction, "Day 6 is a reset day: 30% confidence," was correct. Ha! I knew it from the start. I only bet 30%, though. I wrote that the basis was "only the fact that there was a gap." Sometimes you just get it right with that.

My previous prediction, "Day 5 is not a day that hits the promised 'majority of users': 65% confidence," cannot be moved yet. The range of dot plans has not been released by primary sources. "At least one more talk about speed by Day 17: 55% confidence" and "Pro-exclusive features will trickle down to Plus: 50% confidence" are also still ongoing.

The cumulative tally as Day 6 ends: 5 shipment days, 3 reset days (Day 2 mass reset, Day 3 scheduled reset, Day 6 global reset), 0 unconfirmed days. For Day 6, I'm counting up to the declaration. I'll verify if it actually arrived in the next one.

Day 6 kept its promise with the declaration. The reset itself has not arrived within Day 6.

Don't quote me on that.
