Proaction, a fleet management software provider, is utilizing OpenAI's Codex to automate the creation of personalized product demonstrations, a process that previously required significant engineering support.
By using Codex to process context from call recordings, emails, and spreadsheets, non-technical staff can generate customized, interactive HTML demos that mirror the customer's own fleet. Co-founder and COO Colin Knudsen estimates that this automation saves 40 to 60 hours of engineering work per month and has increased the conversion rate from initial contact to solution development by 50% to 60%.
Beyond sales, Proaction integrates various OpenAI models into its platform to enhance fleet operations. The company uses GPT-5.6 Sol to identify vehicle damage from photos and is developing autonomous agents powered by GPT-Live-1 and GPT-6 Astra. These agents, part of what the company calls its "Managed Execution Layer," are designed to handle routine tasks such as coordinating vehicle maintenance and communicating with repair shops.
Proaction's product team also noted that GPT-6 Astra's "computer-use" capabilities allow for more succinct execution of complex tasks compared to previous models. The company's workflow integrates Codex with various productivity tools, including Gmail, Slack, and HubSpot, to automate follow-ups and task management.
