The tool is designed to allow users to run builds, shell commands, and coding agents alongside their code. While AI capabilities are optional, Rhun allows users to draft messages using local open-weight models or existing subscriptions to Claude Code and Codex. It also enables users to follow sessions as Claude Code and Codex perform tasks.
Users can choose from 39 light and dark themes. For Windows, the software is available as a ZIP file that can be extracted and run directly via rhun.exe.
