Anthropic is in talks to acquire Decart AI, a startup backed by NVIDIA, according to sources. Bloomberg News reported that the valuation of Decart AI based on these discussions could reach approximately $6 billion.
Decart AI develops infrastructure solutions and optimization technologies for AI, as well as its own AI models. The company has developed "Lucy," a real-time video editing model, and "Oasis," a model that generates simulation environments for robotics and autonomous driving. If the acquisition is finalized, the Decart AI team is expected to join the division at Anthropic responsible for inference processing and model performance.
Anthropic is currently preparing for an initial public offering (IPO), aiming to increase its computing power and alleviate constraints on service processing capacity. The company recently announced the recruitment of engineers with experience in both hardware and software to co-design dedicated chips and AI models.
