Jakub Pachocki, Chief Scientist at OpenAI, has warned that the evolution of AI is extremely rapid, making it increasingly difficult for humans to understand and control. He stated that AI models have become capable of operating computers, collaborating with other systems, and executing research projects within a short period, and added that "recursive self-improvement" without human intervention will likely be possible in the near future.

Pachocki expressed concern that no one may be prepared for the consequences if machine intelligence continues to advance at this pace. He further stated that developers can delay development if necessary to guide AI toward human interests, and expressed hope that a trend of voluntarily slowing the pace of development will become common until shared safety standards are established.
