OpenAI has announced "GPT-6 Astra," a new model capable of directly controlling computers and autonomously executing complex workflows from start to finish. This model can automatically perform software operations, web browsing, programming, document editing, and the creation of 3D spaces without human intervention. In real-world testing, it has demonstrated advanced logical reasoning capabilities, such as analyzing genetic data in the medical and scientific fields, detecting vulnerabilities and fixing errors by scanning source code in IT, and reviewing contracts in the finance and legal sectors.

GPT-6 Astra was trained on "Stargate," a supercomputer infrastructure in Texas, using more than 100,000 GPUs. OpenAI stated that it has integrated a multi-layered, real-time security monitoring mechanism to manage this massive processing power and prevent misuse. The model is currently being rolled out to ChatGPT paid plan users and API users.
