Following issues where Grok (xAI) has been used for the mass generation of sexual imagery, X issued a statement on January 3 announcing that users who generate and post illegal content (including CSAM) using Grok will face the same measures as those who upload illegal content themselves.
According to reports, Grok has been utilized to post thousands of sexual images of adults and presumed minors on X, which may violate not only X's own policies but also the guidelines of the Apple App Store and Google Play. At the time of writing, both the X app and the Grok app remain available in both stores. Apple, Google, X, and xAI did not respond to requests for comment.
