Frigade has announced the "Assist API," enabling AI agents to guide users through software operations. By integrating this tool, agents can learn a product's UI flow and provide users with specific, step-by-step operational instructions.

Under the company's system, browser-based agents use test accounts to mimic operations within a product to build a behavioral map of the application. Because re-learning is performed periodically in accordance with product updates or via CI/CD, agents can always provide answers and guidance based on the latest UI specifications.

When responding to user inquiries, the system generates on-screen guides if the issue is resolvable, or returns text answers for conceptual questions. Furthermore, if the agent determines it cannot resolve the issue, it can immediately decline to answer and hand over the conversation to a support team. Frigade is provided as an SDK and can be used in combination with existing frameworks such as the Vercel AI SDK.
